As expected -- and forewarned -- the Federal Communications Commission today voted to repeal the 2015 Open Internet Order, replacing it with the Restoring Internet Freedom Order.
Under this new rule, broadband service returns to its prior Title I classification as an information service. The so-called bright line rules banning ISPs from blocking, throttling or providing preferential treatment for profit disappear.
