Cost
Dig Once will provide access to consumers as an economical cost which is what customers have wanted all along. Did the Dig Once bill pass in the Senate? When does it become effective?

Re: A Rare Partnership
@afwriter. I am glad that Congress is passing laws that will actually provide a benefit to consumers and opposed to the wealthy. Then again all bills that are passed probably benefit the wealthy in some way.

Access
This is exciting. Finally all consumersr will get access to broadband including unserved and underserved areas.  Conduit locations becoming part of the National Broadband Map is within 12 months is great and shows the commitment to providing access to everyone. With everyone connected how will these connections and the increase in bandwidth be supported?

Re: A Rare Partnership
Of course it only makes sense that dig once is the way to go. But, there's probably going to be a bit of friction from companies that might contemplate their revenues going down with such a mandate. On the other hand in the long run it will save others boatloads of money over the years.

Getting anything through the house and senate right now is a real feat. The fact that this looks like its going to pass shows how important it is to our infrastructure and our future.
