Re: would have made a great video
America will survive and overcome the Pai Era as it has other calamities--the question is who will be left standing to help clear out the rubble the day after--We'll be on the job, though--aren't we?

would have made a great video
This imaginative piece would have made a great video! It could have been done with a picture and word balloons, maybe. Very fun.

Re: Great Piece
@DonBrowne Yes, it does give them an awful lot of leeway to make such subjective-sounding determinations.

Re: Great Piece
Getting to transparency might be a bit harder than it sounds whenever politics is involved in the work of making reports and just what's to be contained or hidden. And of course even individual judgment takes precedent as administrative heads decide just what's "important" or not to be included or shared with the public or journalists.

Great Piece
I love the creativity of this piece but it also highlights the danger of government and why we need absolute transparency from the powers that be.

Come January, he is going to have lots of bad, bad days. Chairwoman Eshoo will see to that. No sympathy.

Why should he sweat anything? He'll have a cushy job at an incumbent telco after this...

Consumers are buying millions of IoT devices, from smart thermostats and security systems to intelligent entertainment setups and furniture. Yet many of these devices remain isolated because home users are uncomfortable connecting them to each other or even their WiFi. After all, their WiFi network was probably designed only to handle a few laptops, a gaming system and a couple of smartphones. Now, demand on the network is surging and even though you're delivering 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps, that doesn't necessarily mean the broadband power is in the right place or reaches every corner of a home.

Even if WiFi coverage is sufficient, typing is not on trend. Voice is far more natural, easier and faster. Using a TV keyboard is archaic when more and more households have access to cloud-based voice services, like Amazon Alexa. This webinar will explore how service providers can create a comfortable, truly smart home for consumers simultaneously driving up margin and loyalty.
