Re: Leveling up
The gamers are an interesting sub-section of internet users, needing low-latency, high speed, and faster computers. That would make for a great market for providers offering all that in one package. Presumably the price point for gamers might be so elastic they'll pay any price for better connections.

Yeah? Maybe they'll add a pilot service in your area soon so you can test it out!

Re: Leveling up
@afwriter I get that. It would be really lousy to mess up your game b/c of a failure in your connection. That's a bit of how I feel about paying more for my cell service to avoid dropped calls. My kids went for T-Mobile instead, and I'm not always sure if she's intentionally hanging up on me or just losing the connection.

Re: Leveling up
There is nothing more frustrating than being in the middle of a heated game and getting killed or letting your team down because your connection decides to give out. I would gladly pay a little more to know that I was being judged on my skill more than my internet connection.

I am a casual gamer and I still think I would pay for this service.

Re: How?
Interesting how they haven't noted the lower latency numbers being promoted. And it does seem the providers are going to start playing games with words and meanings to avoid the stigma of prioritizing some users and services over others.

How?
I am not sure I understand how enhanced routing does not involve prioritizing any traffic. Low latency must mean faster connection, no?

Re: Leveling up
Great question! I'd like to know the same. It would be interesting to see how popular it is there and if it gains the same level here.
