Re: Fiber Interest
Amazon is also getting regulatory approvals for a few thousand satellites in LEO to provide broadband to most of North America (but not Alaska) -- and it could augment "5G" coverage or just provide far more broadband in rural areas than has ever existed.

Re: Fiber Interest
Fixed wireless and "5G" may have some overlapping promise, I think... We've sorta seen it before around the dot com boom, when wireless startups were trying everything to blanket populated areas with wireless internet -- that didn't turn out to be very profitable due to the limitations of the technology and regulations keeping valuable spectrum tied up..... This time will be different..?

Re: Fiber Interest
Fixed wireless might be a solution for many residential areas and even for some rural areas. It's cheaper to deploy than fiber to the home.

Re: Market
I think that is true for any evolving areas. Fiber is no differnet than that. It has an advantage that there is some familiarity on the subject already and that is an advantage.

Re: Market
That is very true. First hand i saw / heard where people like to talk about all options being available for them. Not sure how may wants to try something new as soon as it becomes available.

Re: Fiber Interest
Agree with you. Especialy if price becomes a factor, which may in turn become adverse marketing.

Re: Fiber Interest
@Don. B:

Not sure if i can agree. In my opinion besides need for speed price may also become a key factor for people to switch. Especially with unlimited mobile data plans becoming more common having treaditional ISP for internet access may become even more less likely going forward and so the need. Just my perspective.
