DUBLIN – eir, Ireland's leading telecommunications company, has today introduced 5G Broadband, a new 5G fixed mobile substitution (FMS) product. 5G Broadband is a wireless broadband connection that uses your mobile network signal to connect to the internet. It is a solution for homes and businesses that cannot yet access high speed wired broadband. Enabling customers to use eir's 5G mobile network to access data speeds, which in many cases are much faster than available wired connections. Set up is simple, plug it in and the benefits are delivered immediately. 5G Broadband is €44.99 a month for No Limits 5G data plan on a 12 month contract, with a one off cost of €99 for the device (Huawei 5G CPE PRO 2). eir’s 5G network, by far Ireland's largest, now reaches more than 57% of the Irish population and is rapidly expanding. eir’s 5G network is complemented with 4G coverage which covers 99% of the population of Ireland and will soon be one of the most complete mobile networks in the world.
