ROME -- Federico Rigoni joins Italian telecom provider TIM as chief procurement unit & real estate officer, TIM announced on Monday. Rigoni -- who stepped down as Head of Ericsson South East Mediterranean and Country Manager, Ericsson Italy in March -- will report directly to CEO Luigi Gubitosi.
Rigoni will be responsible for ensuring vendor assessment activities and managing the acquisition process at Group level, monitoring products and services in purchasing markets and overseeing material flows by defining stock targets. In addition, he will supervise regular procurement and handling, with the overall goal of optimizing TIM's requirements, economic and financial operating profits.
The Procurement Department also ensures the optimization and development of the Group’s property assets by providing property, agency, big-site management, planning, construction, use and maintenance activities.
Rigoni holds 186,000 company ordinary shares. He replaces Anna Spinelli, who leaves the company. TIM thanks Spinelli for her professional contributions; she does not hold TIM shares.
